EWIS Colombo Limited Celebrates 12 Years of Excellence and Community Empowerment

EWIS Colombo Limited (ECL), the leading, first, and only Original Device Manufacturer (ODM) in Sri Lanka, proudly marks its 12th anniversary this year, celebrating over a decade of innovation, national contribution, and community empowerment.

Driven by its mission to strengthen Sri Lanka’s manufacturing economy, EWIS Colombo Limited continues to play a transformative role in fostering local talent, advancing technology, and uplifting communities.

The 12th-anniversary celebrations at the Sooriyawewa Assembly Factory commenced with an alms-giving ceremony for fifteen monks and a Dhamma sermon, followed by a staff development and motivational program conducted by industry expert Mr. Shehan Pilapitiya. The program also included a special session showcasing the milestones and achievements of ECL’s twelve-year journey, recognizing the dedication and hard work of its employees.

In line with its strong sense of social responsibility, EWIS Colombo Limited organized a series of community donations to mark the occasion. Among these were the donation of a Mini PC to Shavindu Shenulka, a student of Sooriyawewa National School who achieved the best results in the 2025 Grade 5 Scholarship Examination; and a Laptop to Nipun Chathuranga of Weeriyagama Maha Vidyalaya, who attained District Rank 14 at the 2024 Advanced Level Examination.

Further extending its support to public service institutions, ECL donated Desktop Computers to the Sewanagala Police Station to assist with legal documentation processes, and to the Bureau for the Prevention of Abuse of Children and Women in Embilipitiya to enhance efficiency in daily case management and administrative work.

These initiatives reflect EWIS Colombo Limited’s enduring commitment to education, technology accessibility, and national development. By recognizing outstanding students and strengthening public sector infrastructure, the company continues to empower individuals and communities to progress in the digital era.
